Gustave Flaubert was born in Rouen, where he spent most of his life. He discovered the Côte d’Albâtre thanks to Guy de Maupassant and immediately loved the area where he started to write Bouvard et Pécuchet, which remained unfinished.
This room has a beautiful angle fireplace.It is a perfect small den taking us back to Flaubert’s study in his house by the Seine, in Croisset.
This bedroom is on the garden level & first floor of the Donjon, it gives onto the patio and has an independent entrance, a small lounge, a queen size bed (160 cm), a bathroom with shower. This room is perfect for a family as it communicates with the J. Offenbach room.
