Pierre Loti - sea view
Pierre Loti was born Louis-Marie-Julien Viaud. As a naval officer he travelled the seas and went to Tahiti where Queen Pomaré gave him his pen name Loti, after a local tropical flower.
If Pierre Loti likes the Middle East (Constantinople), what he really cherishes is the SEA. Naturally, he feels attracted to Etretat where comes back regularly, leaving behind a souvenir, a rug, a lantern or a decorative ornament. This spacious room with a sea view is his retreat.
Situated on the ground floor in the tower of the Small Donjon, this room gives onto the sea and the garden, it has a King Size bed (180cm, or Twin), 2 children’s beds, a bathtub and bathroom sink which remind us of a liner’s cabin and independent toilets.
